We are pleased that Rebekah made a decision and chose to attend the University of Florida in the fall. She is still deciding on a major. Holly and I are “not from around here” so did not grow up loving or hating the Florida Gators.
Friends advised us to visit a campus ministry at the college before making a decision. The hope was that the new student would already know a couple of people when she started attending. Holly took Rebekah and a friend to a Thursday night Cru meeting at Gainesville. They stayed overnight and the next day met an intern from another campus ministry. This helped I think.
