How well did that outreach go? Did our new ministry strategy work?
In order to answer these questions, we ask our staff and volunteers to record information on how many attended the event, where and when it happened, and what kind of interest was shown toward evangelism and discipleship.
In the past our ministry teams would write this on paper or email it to their team leader. Then the team leader would enter it into a computer. The data would be entered twice, and often would not be entered right away so there was guesswork involved or mistakes made.
Because many of our workers around the world use “smart” devices, we are building an app in which they can enter the information one time onto their phone or tablet. One of the projects at the Global Technology Leader’s conference March 5-11 was for a worldwide group of programmers to collaborate on the ministry data apps for Android and Apple. Pictured are programmers and ministry measurement staff members.
We hope this will help us track progress better on worldwide evangelism and discipleship. We want to know what methods are working to help people know how to have a personal relationship with Jesus Christ.
