Holly and Vonette

Vonette Bright co-founded Campus Crusade for Christ (now called Cru in the U.S.) with her husband Bill in 1951. That’s 64 years of ministry. She passed away on Wednesday, Dec 23. Holly “got the call” to come and arrived as Mrs. Bright was taking her last breath.

Holly joined the ministry over 27 years ago, and serving Mrs. Bright has been her only ministry assignment. She loved it. Before children, Holly was in the office or at Mrs. Bright’s home full-time. After children, she would spend every Wednesday at Mrs. Bright’s home. For the last several weeks, Holly was at Mrs. Bright’s home almost every day, helping where she could. This will be a difficult time of grieving for Holly, as she lost a good friend.
