The MPDX app was written in English for our U.S. staff to keep track of those who support them. Last year Campus Crusade’s ministry in France (called Agape France) was our first language partner. I have been working with Agape France to translate and evaluate the app in French. It will benefit their missionaries as well as any French-speaking missionary in the world.
In June, Steve Pierce from headquarters met a group of ministry leaders in Bangkok, Thailand to train them how to use MPDX. Among those trained were Raphael, Oumar, and Silas from Francophone (French-speaking) Africa. A few weeks ago they conducted their own MPDX training in French in Abidjan, Côte d’Ivoire for Cru missionaries from 10 African countries under their care. (see picture)
They can use the app in French — the official language of their countries – instead of English which would be difficult for them. Multiple languages we hope is one way to build better partnerships with our own staff in other countries as well as new partnerships with other mission agencies.
