Brandon & Jane (Yu-Chen) Girard are Cru staff members ministering to grad students at the University of Michigan which has 15,000 grad students. Their ministry is called GradCru (GradCru.org).
“This Fall, God has done something unprecedented—He has brought numerous international believers to our campus and to GradCru.
Many of these believers want to learn ministry skills that will prepare them to share Christ with others. Praise God for raising up these Christ-centered students who are not only driven academically but who desire to tell others about the hope they have in Christ here at U.M. and beyond.
For example Max, a Korean Ph.D. student, wants to be involved in an English-based Bible study so he can learn how to discuss spiritual topics with others in English after he graduates and begins a career in the U.S.
One student from China had originally told me (Brandon) that he was not able to join a Bible study consistently due to academic commitments. After the game night, I received a surprising e-mail that he wanted to start attending the Bible study because he thought he had a lot to learn.”
Brandon and Jane are building relationships with the students
as well as helping them with their relationships with Christ.
