Google G-Suite Setup

When you sign up for a free Gmail account, Google provides that plus a group of productivity tools– documents, spreadsheets, slide presentations, and more. They are especially useful if you need to collaborate with someone else. Did I mention it was free?

Google also provides a corporate environment called “G-Suite” (https://gsuite.google.com/) that provides a much more secure email and file-sharing system.  Cru is using this in the United States and helping other countries associated with Cru to use it as well.

Our technology department has started working with the technology leaders in several countries to setup the missionaries in their country with G-Suite. There is a learning curve and a time cost for them.  We believe this will help build capacity in their country and accelerate their efforts to build disciples.

I have stepped out of the “translation coordinator” role and started into this one as a “Google Navigator”. The Google G-Suite migration process has been going for at least 2 years so I am jumping in mid-stream to help finish it. Already 94 countries have been migrated and about 50 are in some stage of migration. Many more countries have not decided yet. I am learning and pitching in to help the team for probably the next year.

We need prayers for good communication through cultural and language barriers.
